caitlin Preston, tcrg - owner, director

Regina's only certified Irish dance instructor, Caitlin has been Irish dancing for most of her life. She teaches all levels of Irish dance, proudly guiding and mentoring dancers from beginner all the way up to the international level. Originally from Calgary, AB, Caitlin moved to Regina in 2011. She was awarded her TCRG accreditation in December, 2013. She continues to expand her knowledge of the sport of Irish dance through professional development courses; focusing on building foundations of strength, and flexibility in both body and mind.

 

yvonne aker - instructor

During her competitive years, Yvonne was a top level competitor. She danced under the instruction of the Grant School, and Shamrock Academy in Ontario during her career. Having won the Eastern Canadian Regional Oireachtas twice, placing top 10 at the North American Irish Dance Championships, AND competing at the World Championships 7 times, Yvonne’s knowledge of the competitive world is an invaluable resource for our dancers. Yvonne enjoys sharing her love and knowledge of Irish dance with her students. Yvonne’s energy and passion for the sport of Irish dance make our classes so much fun!

 

jenna mcewen - instructor

After falling in love with Irish dance at Prairie Gael, Jenna went on to pursue a successful competitive career. Jenna competed at the international level, including the North American, and All-Ireland Championships, culminating in an impressive top-ten ranking within Western Canada two years in a row. Since retiring from the competitive world, Jenna has been studying Cellular and Molecular Biology at the University of Regina, and we are thrilled to have her on our team. She is passionate about Irish dance, and her knowledge and experience in the sport is an important part of helping our dancers reach their goals!
