Ordering Instructions for our Junior Dresses

We are ordering our dresses from CustomDancewear.com. This is an Irish Dance Dressmaking store run by Judith Denny-Libbert. You can reach the site at www.customdancewear.com.

Here are step by step instructions on how to order your dress, followed by details on sizing, shipping, etc.

1. Once you have the measurements, go to http://www.customdancewear.com . Down in the lower RIGHT corner of the page is a link that says "Prairie Gael School of Irish Dance". Click on the dress or the link and you'll be taken to the order page. The dress in the photo looks kind of grey but it is indeed black!

3. Select your size from the drop down menu. You'll need to refer to their sizing charts, which are here on our site.

4. Double check the size you need and then click ORDER NOW.

5. Double check the quantity (most likely 1!) and size on the next page and then click on CHECKOUT

6. You'll now be asked for a Yahoo! ID. Click on SIGN UP at the bottom of the sign in box. You'll need to fill in some contact info. This info is so that the online store can remember what you ordered and Judith at CustomDancewear can track orders later on effectively. I use a Yahoo email account all the time and it's very good. Once you've got your account, you'll probably end up on your My Yahoo page.

7. Click BACK on your browser a few times to get back to your checkout.

8. Enter in all of your shipping information. I'm going to ask Judith to ship all of the dresses in our first order to the studio to save on shipping, but this will help her track dresses, etc. Make sure to check off that you understand her return policy. (Basically she'll do alterations if needed, but if you mess up measurements, she's not responsible. Don't worry, we can alter dresses here if need be) Choose GROUND as your shipping option. UPS charges a lot of extra customs brokerage fees we don't need... You DO NOT need to enter in the studio address here. All the dresses in our initial shipment will be shipped to the studio. You need to enter in your own address at this point, just in case your dress doesn't make the initial shipment!

9. Enter your payment on the next screen. Everything through the Yahoo! storefront is very secure.

10. Review your order on the next page and enter something to the effect of "Prairie Gael School of Irish Dance initial order" or something to that effect in the comment box. She's going to adjust our totals for shipping once she has everything ready to go. The price should go down a bit since we're all shipping together!

YOU WILL NOT BE BILLED UNTIL YOUR DRESS IS SHIPPED, SO THE SHIPPING TOTAL MAY CHANGE SLIGHTLY (and it should be less!!)

11. Once you've confirmed everything, just click DONE or ORDER (I can't remember what it said exactly) and you're done! If you entered your email address in earlier, you'll get a confirmation email.

That's it! She's going to ship all of our dresses together to help save on shipping and really try to have them all here before St. Patrick's Day if they are ordered before Thursday of this week...No guarantees at this point however.

Shipping Info

Shipping cost will be finalized when she ships the dress, so it will most likely go down slightly from the amount that is calculated by Yahoo! when you order the dress. Our first mass shipment will be cheaper than if you were having an individual dress shipped to your home address.

Customs Fees / Taxes

Customs Fees and Tax are payable when the dress arrives at the post office. Handling fees per package usually run around $5.00 and the tax is calculated on the cost of the materials alone (around $3.50). The initial order will have these fees paid initially by the school and we'll collect afterwards.

Sizing

Follow the measurement charts as best you can. I would err on the side of larger if you're in between, as things can be taken in easier than let out... Please ask us for assistance on measurements if you require them. We have a tape measure at the studio! If you have specific questions of the dressmaker herself, please email us. Just ensure you mention that you are with the Prairie Gael School of Irish Dance, as she deals with 7 schools and their costumes.

CustomDancewear Sizing Charts

Our intermediate costumes are being ordered from CustomDancewear.com. Please link to their site to place your order. The sizing charts are below. Please make sure you double check your measurements to be sure that the size you're choosing will fit your dancer! Once the dress arrives, you will need to add the school crest and trim. You will also need to make or buy a shawl.

Please place your order directly on their website before February 22, 2007 in order to ensure that orders are shipped to us before St. Patrick's Day! Any orders placed after that date MAY be shipped separately, incurring a higher shipping cost and will not be here by St. Patrick's Day!

Remember that all measurements are in INCHES!! Measure carefully and double check! Please ask Bernie or David for assistance if you're unsure of measurements!
