The School Costumes

Our School Knotwork designs were designed by David Popoff and Bernadette Gavin. Our School Logo was designed by Natalie Pitts. Our school dress combines our great artwork and puts it in motion! Dancers who have danced with the school for a year are eligible to start getting their school costume made. The school costume is the responsibility of the dancer to get made. Bernadette and David will be able to provide dancer with all of the information to get all of the components ready, but the dancer and their family will need to find a suitable seamstress. Again, we'll be able to provide recommendations.

The Designs

The colour scheme is indicative of the prairies! We have the cool breezes, represented by the lavender, the hot summer sun, represented by the red and the rolling fields, represented by the light yellow! We also incorporated the wheat sheaf rather subtly on our costumes and logo to help identify our dancers as being from Regina and the prairies!

Solo Dresses

Once a dancer has reached a high level of performance ability, they are able to purchase a solo dress. The solo Irish dancing dress is a representation of the dancer's own personality and style. They can be all colours, include various knotwork designs or other designs and are usually much more elaborate than a school costume. There are many places to track down new and used solo dress.
